Gravy for a roast Print Option

A roast needs gravy right? Well this is dead easy, no packet gravy mixes that taste like they've got a shovel full of salt in them and God only knows what else, it's fresh, simple and easy to make and tastes a real ripper.

Makes a medium sized jug of gravy.

Ingredients

Pan juices from your roast (chicken, lamb or beef)
1 and half cups of water
Salt & pepper
4 teaspoons (the ones you stir your tea with) cornflour

Method

1. In a container add the cold water and thoroughly mix in the cornflour, followed by the salt and pepper.
2. Place the pan containing the juices over a low heat on your stove.
3. Slowly add the water/cornflour mix into the pan juices, stirring constantly with a fork.
4. Keep stirring until you have a gravy consistency.
5. Empty the gravy into a serving jug and you're done, how easy was that?
